PUWER
Expert and tailored solutions for your business to ensure full compliance.
The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER or PUWER regulations) place duties on people and companies who own, operate or have control over work equipment. PUWER also places responsibilities on businesses and organisations whose employees use work equipment.
Plant Thorough Examination
Similar to a motor vehicle needing an MOT, under the regulations of PUWER 98 items of Plant Machinery require a Thorough Examination to help prevent failures in equipment resulting in significant or even fatal injuries. A full report and certificate of thorough examination will be provided after inspection. Most thorough examinations are required at an interval of 12 months.
Torque Wrench Calibration
Onsite Torque Wrench Calibration is one of our fastest growing services. With our specialist equipment we are able to calibrate tools from 1-1000Nm with the added benefit of this being available as an onsite service at no extra cost, causing minimal disruption to your business. Torque Wrenches should be calibrated every 12 months or 5000 cycles (whichever comes first)
PAT Testing
Although PAT Testing is not a legal requirement, the Electricity At Work Regulations 1989 requires an employer to ensure that their electrical equipment is safe and maintained in order to prevent danger. PAT Testing is the perfect and most efficient way to meet this requirement. It is recommended that PAT Testing is carried out every 3-12 months depending on the environment it is used in.
700 Bar Hydraulics
High pressure hydraulic equipment can be found in most workshops usually as Presses, Pullers and Jacking equipment. Failure due to misuse or wear and tear can result in catastrophic injuries including oil injection, tissue damage and crush injuries. A 12 monthly safety inspection can majorly reduce these risks, and where applicable we also include gauge calibration in our inspections.
